2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Reborn, we may process the following categories of data:
- Account data: email address, account/session information, and an anonymous device-linked user identifier.
- Profile and plan data: cigarettes per day, pack price, currency, quit date, quit mode, reasons, goals, triggers, confidence score, and onboarding answers.
- Journey records: craving logs, intensity score, trigger key, daily check-ins, mood score, symptom score, risky window, slip logs, cigarettes smoked, and notes entered by the user.
- Notification data: notification preferences, FCM/APNs push token, platform, locale/language, app version, and notification enabled status.
- Telemetry and crash data: if the user grants consent, app launch, screen view, sync, and similar usage events; crash/error message, stack trace, source, and event time.
- Community and feedback data: stories submitted by users, author name, headline, tags, product suggestion/feedback text, and optional reply email.
- Purchase data: plan key, product ID, store, purchase reference, verification data, transaction date, and entitlement/subscription status.
- Technical data: API requests, timestamps, basic logs, and error records needed for security and operations.
3. Why we use data
- Provide the app's core functionality.
- Generate quit plans, reminder strategies, progress summaries, and support flows.
- Support account linking, cross-device sync, data export, and account deletion.
- Apply notification preferences and send push notifications.
- Respond to feedback and support requests.
- Moderate community stories.
- Verify purchases and subscriptions through Google Play or the App Store.
- Analyze app performance, usage issues, and crash reports when the user has granted consent.
- Maintain security, debug issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Telemetry consent
Telemetry and crash data depend on the user's explicit preference. Users can turn telemetry consent on or off in the Privacy Center. If telemetry consent is off, the app may still call telemetry/crash endpoints, but the backend does not persist that data.
5. Sharing data
We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by the following parties when needed to provide the service:
- Hosting, database, logging, and infrastructure providers.
- Email/SMTP or transactional mail providers.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging and related push notification services.
- Google Play and Apple App Store purchase verification services.
- Authorities when legally required.
Community stories that users submit for publication may be shown to other users after moderation.
6. Retention
Account and profile data may be retained while the account is active or until the user requests deletion. When account deletion is completed, account-linked profile, plan, craving, check-in, slip, notification preference, entitlement, and sync data is deleted or anonymized.
Telemetry, crash, support, and operational logs may be retained for reasonable periods for security, debugging, service quality, and legal requirements. Community content and feedback may be retained for moderation, support, and product development.
7. User rights and controls
- Turn telemetry consent on or off in the Privacy Center.
- Export account data as JSON when signed in.
- Delete the account and related data when signed in.
- Change notification preferences in the app.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or objection.
Additional rights may apply depending on local law.
8. Children
Reborn is not designed for children. The app will be published with store target audience and age suitability information. We aim to comply with legal age requirements and store target audience rules.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect data. These include HTTPS, secret management, database access controls, keeping production secrets out of the repository, and account/session controls.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you notice a suspected security issue, please contact us.
10. International transfers
The hosting, email, push notification, app store, and infrastructure services we use may process data in different countries. Data may be transferred based on the service providers selected for Reborn.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice in the app or through the store listing.
